give your child’s teacher a lunch break!

Volunteer as Lunch Parent

Volunteering as Lunch Parent is a great way to become involved at Cornerstone! As a Lunch Parent you get to spend time with your child, get to know your child’s classmates and feel more connected with the Cornerstone community.

The role of Lunch Parent is not limited to parents either: grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. are also welcome! Just make sure to fill out volunteer paperwork here and turn in to the office (and allow time for approval before volunteering). Feel free to bring younger siblings to lunch with you as well.

Lunchtime is the only duty-free break that our teachers receive durning the day, and they only get that break if parents volunteer to stay with the class for 30 minutes durning lunch. As a school of choice, we depend on volunteers to support our staff in order to ensure our students receive the best educational experience possible.

We request every Cornerstone family commit to volunteer as lunch parent at least once per month. We understand our families have important work and personal commitments during the day, but we also recognize the necessity of Parental Involvement, one of our three school pillars, to sustain the success of our school community.

How does one sign up? Tell your classroom Lunch Parent Coordinator or child’s teacher that you would like to help, or email ccaptovice@gmail.com.
